Counselling
Looking for a space to be heard, process some experience, or learn some new skills around self-awareness? With around fifteen years' experience, Sashi will provide you with a space to unpack life areas and seek solutions to help you make the progress that you are longing for.
As a therapist, I have worked with clients with a range of experiences including: challenges surrounding marriage and family relationships; war related trauma; family abuse; bullying; bereavement; health difficulties; toxic workplaces; spiritual abuse; and lifestyle change, to mention but a few.
The therapeutic model which I use is integrative and holistic. This means that you will receive a bespoke approach which may blend various psychological models. This is done with the aim of helping you to see where you have been, how you are doing now, and where you would like to be. With a focus upon developing a strong working relationship, we will collaborate and work out your needs together. My work is trauma informed, so I will seek to ensure you have a very safe place to help you make process whatever is affecting your wellbeing. Working holistically means that we will explore issues together which are connected to various areas of your life and will reflect upon how these may impact your emotional wellbeing. Beyond these, we will also consider how wider aspects of your lifestyle may be affecting your health too. Together we will discuss strategies that will help you begin to make the changes that you wish to make.
Having the opportunity to work with people from various continents has greatly enriched my practice and provided me with insights into the importance of worldview on our thought processes. I work with a diverse range of clients, from teenagers to individuals over 80, as well as couples of different ages, offering services that help you address and process current challenges. (Find out more about Sashi's work with couples here)
An average appointment will last for up to around 55 minutes, though I also offer meetings 75 and 90 minutes too. The majority of my work is done online, though I do explore alternatives at times with some clients too.
Costs for counselling vary and are calculated using a ‘sliding scale’, meaning that charges vary for clients. Issues that we discuss will be confidential (within the boundaries of the law).
